Don’t be stupid this winter
Tue June 26, 2007
I just read a great short article from an American youth group. The message: don’t be stupid this summer. Here’s a snippet:
Christians (especially teenagers) like to take the summer off from their faith. Stop going to church, reading their Bibles, praying, and the like. And those get replaced with things like sleeping till noon, video games, and sexual sin (both guys committing it and girls not exactly making it easy for their brothers with the aforementioned outfits). It’s not summer. It’s far from summer. It’s wet, cold and miserable outside. There won’t be much swimwear (or lack thereof) on display these holidays. BUT holidays are an easy time to be lazy Christians. So, even though we have a break from youth group, don’t give up being a Christian! Keep reading the Bible. Keep praying. Keep coming to church. Keep trusting in Jesus. Keep living for Jesus.
